Wrath & Reign: Review

You know what I don’t read that often? A fantasy set in the real world. Like…we KNOW we aren’t in Prythian, and we’re fairly certain dragons aren’t going to magically pop out of an underground slumber or a far off volcano (right?). BUT.. what if, what IF, demons really existed and one of their royals randomly appeared in the United States asking for the President? I mean, that could totally happen? Right?

Highlights:
Rain is just a normal girl.. but when the Demon King comes after her… is she, after all?

What I thought:
This series was just a ton of fun!! Of course it has a hot, brooding MMC and a sassy FMC who is completely relatable, but it also has a fun storyline that was pretty quick to go through. Nikki St. Crowe has this series set up in smaller doses, which I’ve noticed is a thing of hers and I LOVE IT, so it was easy to digest and just blow through without any trouble. There were a ton of twists and turns, and I couldn’t have predicted a single thing that happened – honestly, it was the most amazing kind of whiplash.

I loved Wrath, I loved Rain, and I loved this story.

P.s. – this book can be consumed in two different ways – the Wrath & Reign omnibus or the original trilogy, which consists of: Ruthless Demon King, Sinful Demon King, Vengeful Demon King. I read the individual books because I like to feel accomplishments on a smaller level, but either way works!
