Wicked Schemes: Review

If I die drowning in ARCs, it’ll be a happy death indeed…

Highlights:
Caught in a world of dreams and nightmares, between god brothers and her own magic, can Florencia make it back home to her sisters?

What I thought:
The way this book got me! I won’t lie, it was a lot to take in at first, but I’m not one to question the arc of a story so I read with the fervor of someone who just KNOWS something good is coming. And let me tell you, I wasn’t disappointed. The uncertainty Flo shows, and the deep look into her own vulnerabilities made me want to wrap her up and give her everything she could ever want; the drama between siblings – listen, it hit home a bit for me at the moment – had me wanting to punch a wall; and the gorgeous background of witchcraft, gods, dreams and nightmares, it was all incredible.

Wicked Schemes definitely has spooky vibes, so it’s great for the season, but it’s so much more than that. Knox and Oliveira delivered a beautiful story of personal acceptance, overcoming fears, and a love story for the gods (IYKYK). Oh and never fear… plenty of spice to make us all happy 🙂
