IT’S OFFICIALLY SPOOKY SEASON. Listen, I know I’ve basically been saying it’s almost spooky season for weeks now, but it really is. It’s October and everyone’s pumpkins are out! Surprisingly, I don’t actually do a lot for Halloween – I. KNOW. But here’s the thing, I go so excessively extra for Christmas, I just cannot do two big things back to back. Whoever decided to put Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas one after another, I’d like answers.
Anyway, I was lucky enough to get an ARC copy of Ready or Not, and it was the wild, murderous, smutty chaos I’d hoped it would be.
Highlights:
Caught in the middle of the most chaotic couple(?) ever, can Rachel make it out of her nightmare kidnapping alive? Does she want to…
Triggers: here you go.
What I thought:
Delicious, dangerous fun! I super loved this read. It was full of chaotic energy from the main characters, which honestly is enough to keep me entertained through every page – but if you need more, there’s more. Ready or Not is truly a game of cat and mouse, except the prey is merely caught in the middle. Riley and Manson are hysterically unhinged and I honestly couldn’t predict a single thing they did. Meanwhile, poor Rachel is just chilling with serial killers thinking HOW DID THIS HAPPEN AND HOW DOES MY AWKWARD ASS GET OUT OF IT. Omg I’m cracking up just recalling it all.
If you want something wild and crazy, perfect for the Halloween season, give this a read. It’s so fun.
