Woom: Review

Have you all heard about this book? It’s being called extreme horror, and is just plastered with warning labels all over the book platforms. OBVIOUSLY, I had to read it. I mean, I figure, if I can make it through Tender Is The Flesh, I can make it through anything… right?

Highlights:
Room 6 of The Lonely Motel has seen some shit. Angel has seen some shit. Poor Shyla, the escort he hires for the night, is about to hear all about it…

TW’s: graphic violence and sex (like… a lot of graphic stuff, guys..)

What I thought:
You know, the shock value of this book is really unmatched – I will give it that. I don’t have a weak stomach for gore or any type of horror, so honestly, this book was just fine for me. It absolutely was disturbing, but not so much that it took away from the actual storyline. In fact, I thought the storytelling was done quite well and I enjoyed the book very much! Not sure what that says about me, but given the reviews, I’d say I’m not alone. Also, Woom is very short, so that’s something, for better or worse.

P.s. the warning labels ARE NOT WRONG. Please do not read this unless you are fully prepared. I would say, if you could watch either of the Terrifier movies, you’re probably good. Otherwise, best to just take my word for it. Godspeed.
