Book 3 of Wicked Villains COMING AT YOU. I just completely blew through these last two books and I’m really excited to get my hands on the next ones (taking a short break, because I happen to know the next two are coming for my birthday.. but that’s neither here nor there..).
This is another short one, but had a bit more meat to it than the last!
Highlights:
Tink wants revenge, but the only way to get it is the one thing she can’t fathom: marrying Hook.
TW’s/Tropes: domestic abuse (off-page), assault, murder, explicit sex (MFFMM, MMF)
What I thought:
Another great read! This book was a bit harder than the last two because of the backstory of domestic abuse. DA is no easy topic, but I think Robert did a great job letting us into Tink’s head – I really felt for her, and just wanted her to be able to be happy! Hook was a great match for her and I loved how much he tried to give her what she didn’t even know she needed. And let’s not forget the GROUP SEX. I won’t give it away but… let’s just say their wedding night was quite the scene * winks .*
Beyond the wild and crazy smut, and the heartbreaking backstory, A Worthy Opponent has just the cutest little friendship side story. Seeing Tink’s journey out of isolation, forced and then internally forced, brought tears to my eyes. I love her, and I hope we get sprinkles of her continued story in the next books. On to The Beast!!
