Learn My Lesson: Review

Aging myself I’m sure, but.. was anyone else absolutely obsessed with Disney’s Hercules as a kid? You know the one – Danny DeVito’s weirdly enigmatic satyr, female viewers discovering they’re lesbians the MINUTE Megara’s animated ass sauntered into frame… you know it…

I was obsessed, and Katee Robert clearly knows I’m not the only one. Her Wicked Villains series has me absolutely hooked and Learn My Lesson has been my favorite so far.

It’s a quick read, so I’ll do you all a favor and make it a quick review.

Highlights:
Hades runs the Underworld and Meg is his queen. So what happens when the young, reckless, and ready to save the damsel in distress newcomer comes along? Oh, and what if the damsel is not actually in distress…

TW’s/Tropes: kidnapping, assault, explicit sex (MMF, MM, some FF)

What I thought:
Loved this book! I loved the dynamic of two people who have been together for a long time but things are getting stale, so they bring in young new blood that heats them both TF up. It had a fun little backstory, but I’ll be totally honest with you, it’s mostly smut. Good smut, mind you! But mostly smut…

This is the second book in the Wicked Villains series and it ties back to the first in just a very small way. You can read it standalone, but I had a fun time with the easter eggs from book one.

BONUS CONTENT – for those just getting into Wicked Villains, Ms. Robert has a few fun short stories you can pick up on her website or buy in a fancy little paperback. I highly recommend you find them, because once the story was over I already needed more.
