I’ve mentioned my new love of smut, yes?! Well, here’s another. I typically like them a bit shorter than The Perfect Fit but needed something to pick me up after my last read.
Highlights:
Three multi-billionaires seeking woman to join their relationship.
One girl struggling to get by.
A night on the town brings them together and BOOM – chemistry.
Oh, and also, she’s got a juicy secret, and they’re a lot to handle.
TW’s: CNC, knife play, blood play, primal play
What I thought:
I liked it! First billionaire reverse harem, and it was a doozy. I’m not sure MMFM (male/male/female/male) is going to be my thing, but I won’t run away if the plot is good. For this book, I use the term “plot” quite loosely. There IS a storyline, but it’s really 300 pages of backstory, anticipation and lots of smut, then it takes a HUGE left turn into a wild adventure, then comes right on back to the smut. I’m not even complaining, but I think I would’ve preferred if they either took out the second storyline altogether or made it the overarching plot. That said – I read all 420 pages in one sitting *shrugs*.
I’ll also say, as I begin to understand exactly what kind of smut is for me, this one was a bit over the top. In the iconic, but out-of-context, words of Elspeth Catton (I also watched Saltburn this weekend – loved), “it was all a bit too wet for me in the end.” And I’ll leave you with that!
P.s. – there’s something to be said about the current Facebook algorithm. I only troll through posts now hoping to find an ad for my next Kindle Unlimited read…. which is how I found this guy.
